Hey Everyone,
So we have been super lucky this year. This is the second year that we have provided Youth Earn-a-Bike year-round and it has been a success. Even now as December is beginning we have kids knocking down our door wanting to wrench on bikes which is a wonderful thing. Last month in November we had 10 bikes leave our warehouse to go home with youth through our program!
Anyway, I do have good news and bad news about December:
First the bad news:
We are only offering three Youth Earn-a-Bike sessions in December (the 3rd, 10th and 17th). For the Holidays we will be canceling Youth Earn-a-Bike on the 24th and 31st.
Also, our Earn-a-Bike classes are FULL for December. If you are a new student or haven’t finished your bike with us yet, please return on January 7th, 2012. We’ll be up here from 12pm-3pm.
Next the good news!:
Our December YEAB sessions are full because we have a group of Boy Scouts coming in for three Saturdays to learn about Bicycle maintenance and build up bikes for our Youth Bike Give-a-Way events that are coming up next month. We apologize for any inconvenience this puts upon our other students but these Boy Scouts had to wait until December for us to schedule these dates with them.
The other good news is that we are entering yet another winter offering youth programming against the harsh Michigan weather. Every year we get busier and busier because of the donations, volunteer hours and interest by folks like you.
