UPCOMING SPECIAL EVENTS
FALL BREAK at BACK ALLEY BIKES and THE HUB OF DETROIT
We will be CLOSED from Sunday September 27th to Sunday October 4th at both BAB and The Hub! We appreciate your support this summer and are looking forward to a great offseason!
THURSDAY 9/24: SLOW FASHION SLOW ROLL
There will be NO VOLUNTEER NIGHT on Thursday Sept 24, instead we will be joining our friends at the last Slow Roll of the season for SLOW FASHION SLOW ROLL, a collaboration between BAB, Slow Roll Detroit, Slow Stitch, A Positive Seed, The Revamp, and Detroit Fashion United. Come ride with us! Slow Roll will leave from Chroma Detroit at 2937 Grand Blvd at 6:30pm. If you want to ride to Chroma with us we will bike over from The Hub after we close at 6pm!
REGULAR PROGRAMS
Tuesdays: Wrench Learn and Give
Wrench Learn and Give is a 7 week long bike repair class offered at the Community Workshop at Back Alley Bikes, see the flyer below for more information about how to sign up!
Wednesdays and Thursdays: Volunteer Night – 5 PM to 8 PM
Volunteer Nights mostly involve working on tuning up donated bikes for our Kids Bike Giveaways and Garage Sale events, sorting used parts, and cleaning and maintaining the warehouse and workshop spaces.
You do not need mechanic experience to volunteer, we look forward to helping you develop your skills!

Sundays: DIY (Do-It-Yourself) Open Shop – 12 PM to 5 PM
Does your bike need some love and you want to do the repairs yourself? Stop in during our open shop time! Staff and volunteers can help you learn how to do what needs doing, and we have used parts for sale for those who need them.
We appreciate donations in exchange for use of the space if you’re able. Donation proceeds go to our nonprofit programming. Give what you can, receive what you need!
Space is limited during busy times — first come, first served!
