CLOSED for Thanksgiving Week

Back Alley Bikes and The Hub of Detroit will both be closed for a fall break the week of Thanksgiving!

The Hub will be open Saturday Nov 23rd, then the next day we’ll be open will be Thursday Dec 5th.

Back Alley Bikes will be open for Sunday DIY Open Shop on Sunday Nov 24th, then the next day we’ll be open will be Thursday Dec 5th for Volunteer Night.

Thursdays: Volunteer Night – 5 PM to 8 PM

Volunteer Nights mostly involve working on bikes for our Kids Bike Giveaways and Garage Sale events, sorting used parts, and cleaning and maintaining the warehouse and workshop spaces.

You do not need mechanic experience to volunteer, we look forward to helping you develop your skills!

Sundays: DIY (Do-It-Yourself) Open Shop – 12 PM to 5 PM

Does your bike need some love and you want to do the repairs yourself? Stop in during our open shop time! We have used parts for sale for those who need them.

Stand time is by donation- a suggested $5 dollars and we can help you out if you need it! Donation proceeds go to our nonprofit programming.

Space is limited during busy times — first come, first served!
