Hey everyone,
Here are a few things to point out about this weekend:
Sunday’s Adult Mechanic Class is happening. So there is a Christian holiday this weekend. There are a lot of Christians in Detroit and our country, so chances are – a lot of you are celebrating Easter. Regardless, we’ll still be having class on Sunday. Come learn how to fix your brakes. 2pm-4pm.
Siren Media Rocks. We had a group at MSU called Siren Media do their senior capstone project on Back Alley Bikes. They did a great job and gave us a bunch of tools to help market Back Alley Bikes. One thing they did was redesign our logo by adding some color. Check it out:

Open House is one week away! Yeah, our Open House is coming up on April 26th. We’ll have our doors open 3:30-6:30pm. In our previous post earlier this month I don’t know if it was mentioned that our friend Todd Scott will be on hand to discuss wayfinding with youth. What is wayfinding? Well it signage for bicyclists to find their way around a city.
Also, it sounds like we’ve got a special volunteer force helping out at our Open House: everyone’s favorite Detroit Soccer Team, Cass Corridor United! So come celebrate our open house with the Black and Gold. If they aren’t your favorite team yet, they will be.
We will be hiring shop staff soon. At the Open House we’ll have job descriptions for adults and Mechanic-in-Training applications for youth interested in working here over the summer.
Can’t make it to our Open House? Check back here to our website next week (April 26th) for those job descriptions and info on how to apply.
