“Joe,
Interning at The Hub of Detroit has been an experience I will not forget. After hearing about The Hub at the service orientation, I knew it was an organization that I wanted to help contribute to. Over the semester, I have been personally touched by the mission statement and goals of The Hub, as well as the work that you and the collective do on a day to day basis. I would like to thank everyone at The Hub for letting me be a part of the organization and for being so nice to me. More importantly, however, I want to thank you for all the help you have been over the entire semester.
After working with The Hub, I am glad to say I have learned a lot in terms of bicycles, non-profits, Detroit, and problem solving. Working and conversing with you on a weekly basis really helped me develop myself in terms of examining issues within different disciplines. Also, your enthusiasm for bikes and The Hub was very motivating and made me really want the final project to be a success. The support you offered throughout the completion of our project was an integral part of the process. Whether it was by offering your opinion on a matter or physically helping with the construction of the bike, your help made our goals a reality.
The time I spent at The Hub has benefited me greatly in both academic and personal senses. I was glad that our relationship was one that included firm goals and friendship. I would like The Hub of Detroit to be a part of my life in the future, however if that can not happen physically, I know I will always carry the things I have learned from working with you. Thanks so much for everything Joe.
Sincerely,
Brian”
