Back Alley Bikes X Slow Stitch Detroit Bike Clothing Swap
December 14 at Slow Stitch Detroit, 8500 2nd Ave
Doors open at 1pm
We’re partnering with Slow Stitch Detroit to bring you the Back Alley Bikes Clothing Swap!
Here’s how it works:
•Bring cycling clothes, bags, and other accessories to donate
•See something you like? Its yours! Take it home with you.
•Any items left over will be donated to Back Alley Bikes and Slow Stitch for community programming.
That’s it!
8500 2nd Ave. December 14th. Doors open at 1 PM. Event ends at 4 PM. No cover but monetary donations are appreciated!
There will be no DIY Open Shop on Sunday 12/14, we will be offsite at the clothing swap!
REGULAR PROGRAMMING SCHEDULE
Thursdays: Volunteer Night – 5 PM to 8 PM
Volunteer Nights mostly involve working on tuning up donated bikes for our Kids Bike Giveaways and Garage Sale events, sorting used parts, and cleaning and maintaining the warehouse and workshop spaces.
You do not need mechanic experience to volunteer, we look forward to helping you develop your skills!
Sundays: DIY (Do-It-Yourself) Open Shop – 12 PM to 5 PM
Does your bike need some love and you want to do the repairs yourself? Stop in during our open shop time! Staff and volunteers can help you learn how to do what needs doing, and we have used parts for sale for those who need them.
We appreciate donations in exchange for use of the space if you’re able. Donation proceeds go to our nonprofit programming. Give what you can, receive what you need!
Space is limited during busy times — first come, first served!
