Congrats to our neighbors at OmniCorpDetroit and the Wheelhouse, both winners of Bicycle Friendly Business awards in the latest round of recognition from the League of American Bicyclists’ Bicycle Friendly America program!

The League of Michigan Bicyclists also picked up the Alliance for Biking and Walking’s “Winning Campaign of the Year” award, for their success with the Michigan Complete Streets Coalition!

It looks like organizations in Detroit are really making an effort to be bicycle friendly for their employees and communities they serve. If you’re interested in what your business/organization can do to become more bicycle friendly, all you have to do is ask! We provide all sorts of consultation and helpful advice on how to make your workplace, commute, and community more bicycle friendly, and we’d love to hear what barriers to friendly bicycling you face.

Another way that you can learn about bicycle friendliness on a more formal level is by attending the Health Department’s Complete Streets community workshop on March 31st from 6-8pm at the Gaelic League on Michigan Ave. Read more about this at Todd Scott’s M-Bike blog
