Adventure Cycling Association Presentation:

Join Adventure Cycling Association — North America’s largest cycling membership organization — for a special presentations in Detroit with Executive Director Jim Sayer who will speak on the joys of bicycle travel, and cool projects happening at the national and state levels.

Jim will touch on Adventure Cycling’s newest bicycle routes and maps — including the new Sierra Cascades Bicycle Route, the planned Bicycle Route 66, and a new Underground Railroad alternate route (for which JDR is on the Advisory Board, woo!) through Michigan — and give a status report on development of the official US Bicycle Route System.

Complete Streets Community Workshop Update:

MSU Extension’s Richard Wooten will be giving an overview of the Complete Streets movement, and the workshop will be catered by Corktown’s own Slow’s BarBQ!

Remember, it’s March 31st from 6pm-8pm at the Gaelic League (2068 Michigan Ave) and is hosted by the City of Detroit’s Department of Health and Wellness, and if you want to go you should RSVP by March 25 to Myra at tettehm@detroitmi.gov.
