There is a saying at The Hub of Detroit. That saying is “Bro hard or bro home!” Actually, we don’t say that at all because it would be dumb. It is really just a way to make fun of Darrin Brouhard’s last name (pronounced bro-hard).
Darrin has been working at the retail shop for a few years and has been the general manager for most of those years. Darrin is also a maker of things. He is partnering with The Detroit Mercantile Co. and Carhartt to provide a skill-share about making DIY bike panniers.

Now you may have seen kitty liter buckets being used by really fashionable cyclists such as Jason and Heather of Back Alley Bikes fame. This is a cheap way to reuse what would otherwise be recycled and get waterproof panniers out of it.

So if you wanna join the kitty liter pannier club, come learn about it from Darrin this Saturday at The Detroit Mercantile Co. in Eastern Market. You’ll want to sign up for it here though.
