Hey ya’ll,
So we have this Open House event coming up on Saturday, April 27th at 3:30pm. Why would we do this? Why have an Open House?
Well, let me tell you why you might want to come.
1) You’ve never been in Back Alley Bikes or it has been a few years since you’ve been up here. We are pretty proud of the compliments we get from folks saying we are one of the better organized bike projects they have seen. You’ve probably been in The Hub of Detroit, but if you haven’t ever seen Back Alley Bikes in all of its glory – the Open House is a good time.
2) You want to get involved. Come see the space and meet our staff. Getting involved as a volunteer or student is a lot easier once you know where you are going and who you will be working with. Plus maybe you have questions and aren’t sure how to get started? The Open House is a great place for that.
3) You want to help us clear out some space with our garage sale. We will be selling extra tools, furniture and bike frames that we need to clear out. Back Alley Bikes doesn’t normally sell things, so this is kind of a one day only chance to get some stuff for cheap garage sale prices.
4) You like the Detroit Tigers. We will be having a raffle for Tigers Tickets during the Open House. Win some tickets!
5) You like bikes. We aren’t be all and end of all of bike in Detroit, but we’ve been around for a while and know a good amount of folks. So if you like bikes, we are a great place to start in Detroit.
6) You like racing bikes. Come challenge your friends to our stationary Hubsprint bikes that we’ll have set up (see picture of Mike below racing for the win).
