I’ve got good news,
The registration site for our next Progressive Dinner by Bicycle Ride just went live today. So if you are reading this on July 9th, you can get first crack at registering for the ride next month. You can go to this post from May which recaps our last event.
But maybe you haven’t heard about this ever so popular fundraiser? Well, I’ll get you caught up because, darn it! I like you. So here is the deal:
$30 gets you a ticket for a five course meal which is served over a leisurely bike ride around Detroit. Then the money left over goes towards funding Back Alley Bikes educational programming. Pretty awesome really.
Last September on our first ride we raised enough money to fund one of our Mechanic-In-Training students for the whole summer. Last May we raised enough money to cover the staff time for Jack to lead our weekly summer rides May-September.
So what can we do this August? Only time can tell. I would really like to raise enough money to send all four of our Mechanic-in-Training students to New York City for the Youth Bike Summit next January. Can we do it? We’ll see. Register to help us reach this goal.
Now I don’t have the full details for this August’s ride yet. I’ve contacted a few food vendors and will have all the tasty details soon. I do have our friend Scott Grenerth down as making dessert (he made the peanut butter and chocolate tart on the last ride).
So I’m asking you to trust me and register early. However, keep an eye here as I will be posting the details as they come in. (I’ll be updating the WePay site as well).
Thumbsup,
